Frances Jean (Hahn) Francis, 81, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015.

She was born Aug. 17, 1933, in Mishawaka, to Edward F. and Minnie (Schallilol) Hahn.

She married the Rev. Charles W. Francis on June 18, 1955.

Frances is survived by one brother, Maurice (Bobbie) Hahn; daughters, Susan (Doug) Barnes of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Sarah (Scott) Graham of Peru and Sally (Craig) Anderson of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and grandchildren, Justine (Kevin) Fedde, Corianne, Cameron and Hannah Barnes, and Jeremiah and Ben Graham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on Jan. 15, 2015; brothers, Norman (Joyce) Hahn and Frederick (Joyce) Hahn; sisters, Erma Jane (Harry) Willman and Virginia Hahn; and sister-in-law, Leslie Hahn.

Frances received her bachelor’s degree from Elmhurst College.

She was an elementary school teacher. She was an accountant for various firms, retiring from Clark & Leucht in Indianapolis in 2003. She was a faithful minister’s wife for more than 50 years.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.

The Rev. Allen Whitehurst will conduct a celebration of Frances’ life at 1 p.m. Thursday at Union Christian Church, 1331 E. County Road 300S, Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin and from noon until time of service Thursday at the church. A private family burial will be Thursday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
