St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 2560 Villa Ave., Indianapolis, will host the first breakfast of the United Methodist Church Lenten breakfast series today.

The featured speaker will be Linda Madagame from UMC Native American Ministries. Linda has been CEO of American Indian Center of Indiana as well as secretary of Indiana’s Native American Indian Affairs Commission.

All breakfasts start at 7:30 a.m.

All are welcome to the no-charge breakfast. An offering will help support the host church’s ministries.

The next breakfast will be Feb. 28 at Rosedale United Methodist Church, 4450 S. Keystone Ave.

Benedict Inn Retreat & Conference Center, 1402 Southern Ave., Beech Grove, will host a program Feb. 26 on a meditative prayer practice, “Visio Divina.” The first program is “Baptism of Jesus.” The practice uses guidance from the St. John’s Bible.

The fee is $20. The sessions will be 7 to 9 p.m. and continue on April 23 and June 4.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 600 Paul Hand Blvd., Whiteland, will host its sixth annual chili cook-off Feb. 28.

The cook-off will be 5 to 7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the KIC-IT center for homeless youth.

Cost is $4 for adults and $10 per family.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Bargersville, 101 East St., Bargersville, will be sponsoring a Relay For Life homemade spaghetti dinner on March 14.

The dinner will be 4 to 8 p.m. or until the food is gone.

Proceeds will be used to support Relay For Life.

The meal consists of homemade spaghetti with choice of meat or marinara sauce, a salad, a piece of garlic bread, a dessert and a choice of drink (tea, lemonade, coffee or water).

Cost is $ 7 per person and $4 for kids ages 4 to 10.

Ave Maria Guild, St. Paul Hermitage, 501 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, will host a rummage sale March 27.

Sale hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The guild will host a card party and quilt raffle April 30.

The party will be 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
