Program focuses on septic issues

A workshop at Franklin Community High School this month will help local residents learn the best ways to maintain their septic, sewer and stormwater systems.

The program will be Saturday at Franklin Community High School agriculture department, 2600 Cumberland Drive. Breakfast and registration will start at 8 a.m. with the program at 9 a.m.

Topics include using the web soil survey for home site selection; septic systems maintenance; and sewer and stormwater topic dos and don’ts.

The workshop is free and open to the public. The program is sponsored by the Johnson County Youth Conservation Board and the Franklin FFA. For more information call 736-9540, ext. 102.
