Hubert ‘Frog’ Hayes

FRANKLIN

Hubert “Frog” Hayes, 87, passed away at his Franklin home on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, with his family by his side.

He was born June 17, 1927, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to Eddie and Martha (Decker ) Hayes. He married Patricia (Dicken) Hayes on Aug. 6, 1998. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Richard Hayes of Centralia, Washington, and Rob (Lisa) Hayes of Franklin; a daughter, Terri (Jeff) Lazzell of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and special friends, Brian Roberts of Whiteland and Paul Wilson of Franklin.

He was preceded in passing by a daughter, JoAnn Lundy; and a granddaughter, Rosalee Ann Hayes.

Hubert was employed by Arvin Automotive in Franklin for 38 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed squirrel, rabbit and mushroom hunting. He also loved “noodling” catfish and raising a beautiful vegetable garden every summer.

Hubert “Grandpa” will be sadly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Hubert’s life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
