Willa Dean McCombs, 84, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015.
She was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Amos, Kentucky, to Jimmy Dee and Essie May (Swindle) Farley. She graduated from Scottsville High School in Scottsville, Kentucky, with the class of 1948.
Willa Dean was a quality control technician at Eli Lilly and Co. for 37 years. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and was an avid golfer. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by those who know and love her.
Willa Dean is survived by her son, Stephen (Cheryl) White; daughters, Rebecca (James) Owens and Vicki (Jack) Heron; brother, Larry (Jean) Farley; sisters, Shirley (Bob) Humble and Jolinda (Donnie) Kirby; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Thurman White and James McCombs; and sister, Rebecca Farley.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
