Police pursuit ends in arrest

A Greenwood man was arrested after a short pursuit with police near downtown Franklin.

Brian Wynne, 50, was wanted on a warrant after his bond was revoked. Wynne was arrested last week on a charge of theft after police said he was involved in the theft of appliances from two Center Grove area model homes.

Wynne was released from the jail, but the prosecutor’s office later revoked his bond, since he was already out on bond after being arrested on a charge of burglary, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Sheriff’s office investigators saw Wynne driving in downtown Franklin Tuesday afternoon and tried to stop his vehicle. He continued driving and later got out of his car and ran from police, the release said.

Police caught Wynne near Main Street and Highland Avenue, and he was arrested, Sheriff Doug Cox said.
