Within the last 24 hours of election filing, eight candidates added their names to the ballot.
Nine races will be contested in the May primary, all on the Republican ballot. Voters will select nominees from their party to appear on the ballot in November.
The last filers before the Friday deadline were all Republicans, including:
- Joe R. Ault, Franklin City Council District 1
- Bryan K. Harris, Greenwood City Council at-large
- David J. Leske, Greenwood City Council District 6
- David R. Moore, Trafalgar Town Council at-large
- Donna Moore, Trafalgar clerk-treasurer
- Steve Scott, Trafalgar Town Council at-large
- Debra L. Hendrickson, Whiteland clerk-treasurer
- Kent Lewis Beeson, Whiteland Town Council at-large
