5 cars burglarized at Franklin complex

A thief went through at least five unlocked vehicles at a Franklin apartment complex, stealing items including a wallet, change and tools.

Most, if not all, of the cars were unlocked, and someone rifled through their glove boxes and center consoles to find items to steal, according to reports from the Franklin Police Department.

The cars were parked at Franklin Cove Apartments, and residents reported that the thefts on Franklin Cove Court and Puller Place happened between Sunday night and Monday morning.

A wallet — including two debit cards, an ID card, a birth certificate and a W2 — was stolen from one vehicle. A toolbox with tools inside was stolen from another vehicle, the report said.

Police are investigating, and no one has been arrested.
