Hearts & Darts – February 2

Hearts

Thanks to Mike Beas for interviewing my grandson-in-law Jeremy Bialek, coach of the Wildcats basketball team. I have bragging rights for the Wildcat teams, because I had four Mitchell grandsons to play on past teams. I could say a lot more, but I am thankful that you gave recognition to the homeschool program.

Many hearts to Kaylee McCracken, senior co-captain for the Whiteland lady Warriors. You have been a great role model for your school, team and future lady warriors. You made Senior Night special to all of us

I just celebrated my 85th birthday on Jan. 18. I want to thank my family of 31 for a fabulous pizza party. My daughter Marsha Gray has 11 in her family. My son, Michael McClain has nine and my son Mark McClain has 11. So you can see that my house was full of fun! A member of our family took a portrait which was like icing on the cake. I never thought I could be so happy at this age. I feel so blessed. Life is good. God is good.

On Jan. 16. I was traveling through Franklin and we stopped at the McDonald’s at 11995 N. U.S. 31 for lunch. I left my purse with $300 cash, credit cards and other personal items in it. One McDonald’s employee, Aaron Reed, found my purse and made phone calls to me and my credit card companies to report the loss. He spent his personal money to ship my purse to me in Nashville, where I received it the next day with all my money and possessions. I wanted people in your community to recognize Aaron’s honesty and integrity in this situation.

Heartfelt hearts to the staff and patrons of Lincoln Square for all the help during a medical emergency on Jan. 25. Also to the EMT who drove me (Sue) to the hospital. You all went above and beyond, and are so much appreciated. Thank you so much!
