AnnaBelle Baker

AnnaBelle Baker, 92, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, in Franklin. She was a resident of Bargersville.

She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Seneca, Nebraska, to Virgil J. and Minnie E. (Witt) Lovelace.

She married Merrill Hendrickson. She later married William “Marvin” Baker of Bargersville. They were married 29 years.

AnnaBelle is survived by her grandchildren, Johnetta Hoban, Merrill and Jeni Hoban, and Vaughn and Hillary Hoban; great-grandchildren, Josie Whitaker, Hannah Hoban, Marissa Hoban, Asher Hoban, Jude Hoban and Isaac Hoban; one brother, Dr. John H. Lovelace II; and Marvin Baker’s two sons, James and Charles Baker and family.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; three siblings; husbands, Merrill Hendrickson and Marvin Baker; and two daughters, Joanne Hendrickson and Jannette Carter.

She was a graduate of Beech Grove High School and attended Butler University for one year.

AnnaBelle was an office manager for the Province medical office (Dr. Bill and Dr. Wing) for 40-plus years. She finished her career with Dr. Ali Dohan and retired at the age of 82.

She was a founding member of Shiloh Community Church in Franklin and played the piano and organ for most all her years there. She loved to play the piano and organ. She enjoyed painting, taking lessons from Beulah Mardis. She liked gardening in her yard and growing fresh herbs.

The family would like to give special thanks and consideration to the wonderful staff at Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin.

The Rev. Ron Ellis will conduct a celebration of AnnaBelle’s life at 2 p.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Calling will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
