Paul Richard Cearing

FRANKLIN

Paul Richard Cearing, 91, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Homeview Health and Rehab Center in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born on Dec. 16, 1923, in Reynolds, to Clemont and Mildred Cearing.

He married Ella Macijack. She preceded him in passing. He then married June Martindale. She preceded him in passing.

Survivors include his grandchildren, Melissa Dawson of Franklin, Matt Kirby (Kim) of Franklin, Megan Everett (Daniel) of Whiteland, Michael Cowden of Franklin; brothers, Wayne Cearing of Pensacola, Florida, Bobby Cearing (Pat) of Reynolds; sister, Phyllis Parks (Fred); great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Maleah, Claire, Evan and Elijah.

He was preceded in passing by his daughters, Gloria Kirby and Dolores Cowden.

Paul retired from Sprint United Telephone Co. after many years of service.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II as part of Merrill’s Mauraders.

The Rev. Steve Sorenson will conduct a service at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North), Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
