William George Innis, 86, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015.
He was born on Feb. 22, 1928 in New Point to the late Robert and Mable Harding Innis. He was a member of Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church, American Legion and served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gussie Mae Innis; two sons, Kelly (Linda) Innis and Cory (Michelle) Innis; two grandchildren, Courtney and Maegan Innis and four sisters.
He was preceded in death by five siblings.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at The Gardens at Olive Branch.
