Battery

1900 block of Lakeside Drive: Police responded at 12:40 p.m. Thursday to a report of a man striking a woman during a fight. The man was arrested.

Criminal mischief

BCC Products, 2140 E. Earlywood Drive: Police responded at 7:49 a.m. Friday to a report of eggs having been thrown at the office door.

Drug investigation

Franklin Community High School, 2600 Cumberland Drive: Police responded at 1:44 p.m. Thursday to a report of a possible drug incident that occurred on a school bus.

Thefts

• Boys and Girls Club, 101 Hurricane St.: Police responded at 10:30 p.m. Thursday to a report of a wallet stolen from someone while they were playing basketball.
• Walmart, 2125 N. Morton St.: Police responded at 2:09 p.m. Thursday to a report of shoplifting. A man was arrested on charges of theft and possession of marijuana.

Burglary

300 block of Governors Lane: Police responded at 7:01 p.m. Thursday to a report of a jewelry box containing many pieces of jewelry stolen from a residence.

Kenneth Alford, 50, 308 S. Main St., Poplarville, Mississippi; arrested on a charge of child molesting; held on $13,200 bond.

Nicholas Anthony Marshall, 20, 129 Washington St., Franklin; arrested on charges of battery, interference with reporting a crime and possession, transportation or consumption of alcohol by a minor; held on $3,000 bond.

Marjorie Ann Summers, 37, 150 Walnut St., Apt. 3, Franklin; arrested on charges of possession of cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and reckless possession of paraphernalia; held on $11,500 bond.

Michael Lee Jobe, 34, 121 S. Hawthorne Lane, Indianapolis; arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court; held on $750 bond.

James Paul Mattison, 41, 1301 Averitt Road, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of driving while suspended with a previous conviction; released on $1,000 bond.
