MARTINSVILLE
Judy J. (Riggs) Ennis, 73, passed away peacefully Monday morning, Jan. 5, 2015, at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis. She was a resident of Martinsville.
Judy was born in Scottsville, Kentucky, on Dec. 4, 1941, to her parents, the late Leo E. and Zelma F. (Meador) Riggs.
She was a 1959 graduate of Mooresville High School and went on to marry George L. Ennis on Oct. 16, 1959, in Martinsville. He lovingly survives after 55 devoted years of marriage.
Judy also is survived by her children, Duane (Katie) Ennis and Greg (Mandy) Ennis, both of Morgantown, and Michael Ennis of Bargersville; a brother, Donald Riggs of Martinsville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Eldora Key, Dale, Bob and Ralph Riggs.
Judy was a member of Centennial Christian Church in Martinsville and Morgan County Home Demonstration Club.
She was known for her cooking and baking and helping her husband with the family farm.
The Rev. Sam Kean will conduct a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Centennial Christian Church Cemetery, 1510 Centennial Road, Martinsville.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home, Cremation and Personalization Center in Morgantown.
