Applicants sought for county library board

The Johnson County Council is looking for residents interested in serving on the county library board.

Library board members are responsible for making policy and spending decisions for the county’s library branches in White River Township, Franklin and Trafalgar and the Clark Pleasant branch in New Whiteland.

People who are interested in serving on the library board must have lived in the library district for at least two years and must not have served more than four consecutive terms on the board. Board members serve for four years and are not paid.

Anyone interested should email council members at [email protected] by Thursday. The council will select a board member at its meeting next week.
