Alaina Louise Day

Alaina Louise Day, 17 months, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, in her parents’ loving arms at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health in Indianapolis. She resided in Whiteland with her loving parents, John Morgan and Megan Elizabeth (Liffick) Day, and two brothers, Luke and Levi.

Alaina was born July 11, 2013, in Indianapolis.

She also is survived by grandparents, Mike and Sally (Roe) Liffick of Whiteland, Tom and Sue (Rose) Day, and Anita (Greene) and Glen Page, all of Indianapolis. Also surviving are great-grandparents, Shirley Liffick Reed and husband, Jim, of Morgantown, and Wayne McClain of Indianapolis; aunts and uncles, Melissa (Liffick) and Nick Johnson of Richmond and Mark and Alissa (Wheeler) Day of Kentucky; and cousins, Jayden and Jacob Johnson and Noah and Amelia Day.

She was preceded in passing by grandparents, Louise Roe McClain, Leo Roe, Raymond Liffick Sr., Morgan and Mildred Greene, and John and Martha Day.

Alaina brought so much love and joy into many lives. She loved music and dancing, especially to the song, “Happy.” She loved playing with stickers. Alaina learned to walk while pushing her IV pole around the halls of Riley Hospital. Alaina loved waving and making everyone smile.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Pastor Ben Vick will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday at Shelbyville Road Church of Christ, 4915 Shelbyville Road, Indianapolis. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
