E-chats with librarians for reference advice

Johnson County Public Library recently launched a new reference service.

Library patrons can talk with a reference librarian by live chat on the website or via text message and can ask about finding library materials, basic reference questions and using online resources like e-books and e-audiobooks.

The chat service can be accessed by clicking the “Talk to a Librarian” button at the top of the website.

The service works on mobile devices, including tablets and phones, as well as computers.

Librarians also can be contacted with a text messages to 900-4542.
