FRANKLIN

Elizabeth Ann King, 76, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, in Greenwood. She was a resident of Franklin.

She was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Lafayette, Tennessee, to Roy Donoho Smith and Idell (Freeman) Treece. She married William David “Bill” King. He survives.

Other survivors include children, Deena (Jeff) Wilham of Franklin, William H. “Bill” Stainbrook of Indianapolis and Robert K. “Bob” (Kim) Stainbrook of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Diane (Jim) VanGorden of Flat Rock; a brother, Frank James (Linda) Smith of Needham; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Ryan Wilham, Jennifer C. “Jacey” Wilham, Ashley N. Stainbrook-Balmer, Korey M. (Megan) Stainbrook, Amberley D. Moore-Haney and Tyler Wallace; and seven great-grandchildren, Devin Ryan Wilham, Richard Wallace, Chase King, Zoe Stainbrook, Logan Smith, Gracie Stainbrook and Braylee Mathena.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; and a brother, Harold D. Smith.

Ann attended Franklin High School.

She was employed by RCA in Indianapolis and later at Bendix Corp. in Franklin. She retired after many years of service with Kawneer in Franklin.

She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 205 in Franklin.

Ann was an avid bowler, bowling in many leagues over the years. She was a member of the Franklin Bowlers Association Hall of Fame.

She enjoyed shopping, traveling and visiting riverboats.

A celebration of Ann’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
