GREENCASTLE
Our beloved Cody Andrew Ford, 22, passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a resident of Greencastle.
Cody was born March 5, 1992, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Mark and Nicole (True) Ford.
He served in the U.S. Navy for four years aboard the aircraft carrier George HW Bush as a mass communications specialist.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Ford of Indianapolis; his parents, Mark and Nicole; and sister, Chelsea Mitchell (USAF) of Denver, Colo.; and brother, Cyle Ford (USAF), stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. He is also survived by his grandparents, Michael and Heidemarie Ford and Sue True, all of Greenwood.
Cody had a special place in his beautiful heart for children and family. His other loves were sports and music.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 5171 Smokey Row Road, Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the Linus Project.org.
