Eva Mae Beadling

Eva Mae Beadling, 90, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, with family at her side.

She was born Jan. 17, 1924, to David and Margaret Gerber of Brazil, Indiana.

Eva was a loving woman who raised her son and granddaughter with unending love and devotion.

She worked many years at Bridgeport Brass as a keypunch operator, spending some time on the switchboard before retiring.

She enjoyed having gardens and planting flowers around her home and sharing conversations with family, friends and neighbors.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Teri E. Hopkins; a grandson, John T. Beadling; great-grandsons, Danny, Nicolas and Zachary Lyden, great-granddaughters, Kristin and Karlie Beadling; great-great-granddaughters, Alyssa, Alizabeth and Alayna Lyden; and loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Beadling; son, Larry W. Beadling; her loving parents; brothers, William, George, Roy and Ray Gerber; and sisters, Leona, Almeda, Irene, Lena, Pauline and Betty Gerber.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Eva will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
