Emma Grace Findley

FRANKLIN

Emma Grace Findley lived for 13 years with inexplicable grace and full of life until Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, when she left this world much the same way she came into it on July 16, 2001, held by her mother, father and surrounded by people who love her.

We were privileged to watch her live, love and touch lives more than most who live much longer. Her life was filled with the joy she found in art, swimming, her friends and family and a love of travel, which is how she spent the last week of her life.

Emma will now watch from heaven over her mom, Kari Findley, her dad, Cal Findley, and her brother and sister, Sam and Sophie. Our hearts are forever broken without her.

Emma also is survived by paternal grandparents, Kevin and Suzanne (Baker) Findley of Franklin, maternal grandparents, Richard and Karla (Karns) Dotson of Fishers; great-grandparents, Bill Karns, Marthetta Baker, Marjorie (Jim) Barley and Martha Findley; aunts and uncles, Megan and Matt Taylor of Noblesville, Katie and Ryan Knisley of Noblesville, and Ali and Benji Betts of Franklin; cousins, Madison, Travis and Shawn Taylor, Landon, Ava and Haddie Knisley, Cohen and Landry Betts; and many extended family and friends.

Emma was an eighth-grade student at Franklin Community Middle School.

An artist herself, she was a lover of art and found joy in music. She enjoyed participating in the school choir and broadcasting class and enjoyed photography.

She was a member of the Franklin Swim Cub. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

A celebration of Emma’s life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive, Franklin. A reception will follow from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church for fellowship and for sharing memories of Emma.

Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Children’s Wish Fund, 8021 Knue Road, Suite 112, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
