Franklin youth organization gets gift from restaurant

Max and Erma’s corporate offices recently presented a $2,000 donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Franklin.

The check was presented in early December by regional manager Tim Blair, whose grandchildren are regular attendees of the club’s sports programs. The money will be used to support youth programs in the community.

The club is a United Way agency.

Occupational therapist joins Greenwood practice

Taylor Gurley has joined Hopebridge Pediatric Specialists as an occupational therapist in the Greenwood clinic.

She will work with children with developmental delays, targeting areas to help them strengthen fine-motor skills, activities of daily living, sensory integration and feeding. Therapy is centered around play activities.

Gurley is certified and Indiana-licensed by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy. She earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Gurley previously worked with IU Health West Hospital in Avon and Memorial Children’s Therapy Center in South Bend.

Real estate broker joins Greenwood agency

Dan Nichols, a real estate broker, has joined Realty World-Harbert Co. Inc., a Greenwood real estate office.

Nichols is a master builder and owner and president of Dan Nichols Builder Corp. He served the company from 1965-99 in Central Indiana.

His experience includes brokering land as well as developing and marketing residential communities and commercial retail and office sites. He has been the architect of several community associations and served as a director on home association boards in both Indiana and Arizona.

He began real estate brokerage services with Century 21 Scheetz beginning in 2010.
