Edinburgh woman arrested on drug, neglect charges

An Edinburgh woman was arrested after police found drug-related items in her home.

Jessica Kay Miller, 27, 624 High School Drive, was arrested on charges of child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Edinburgh police went to Miller’s home after receiving a complaint from the Department of Child Services and a call from a child services investigator. The investigator told police she saw Miller purchase methamphetamine with her four children in the car, according to the Edinburgh police report.

When the officers stopped at the home, Miller gave them drug paraphernalia and said she had used the drug Monday night, according to the report.

Miller was arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail in Franklin, where she was being held on $4,200 bond.
