Rain and wet roads have delayed the opening of a Center Grove intersection by two days.
The Indiana Department of Transportation had planned to open the intersection of State Road 135 and Smokey Row Road by noon Tuesday, but those plans were scrapped because of morning rain. The new plan is to have the intersection open by midday Thursday, according to a department of transportation news release.
Crews have been working to widen the intersection, adding turn lanes and a traffic signal, since September. The $1.3 million project was supposed to be complete last month but was delayed because of cold weather.
