First block of 14th Street: Police responded at 10:02 a.m. Thursday to a report of someone putting sand in a vehicle gas tank.

Thefts

  • Trailer One, 540 E. Earlywood Drive: Police responded at 8:24 p.m. Thursday to a report of a damaged camper from which copper plumbing was removed.
  • Report made at Franklin Police Department, 2801 N. Morton St.: Police received a report at 3:22 p.m. of 400 bottles of wine stolen from a home.

800 block of South Old U.S. 31, Franklin: Police responded at 7:52 p.m. Thursday to a report of domestic battery. A man was arrested.

Fraud

  • 6200 block of West County Road 150N: Police responded at 2:38 p.m. Thursday to a report of an unauthorized credit card purchase of a laptop computer valued at more than $1,800.
  • 1700 block of North County Road 575W: Police responded at 5:32 p.m. Thursday to a report of a phone scam in which someone was threatened and told to pay more than $3,000 in supposed back taxes and late fees.
