Christ Our Shepherd Church, 857 N. State Road 135, Greenwood, will host a Christmas party for veterans and their families on Dec. 14.
The day will include a chili cook-off starting at 5 p.m. with a visit from Santa.
U.S. Army Maj. Gerald Glaze will speak about holiday patrol in Vietnam.
The free dinner and program is open for all military members, veterans and their families.

Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive, Franklin, will have its annual Breakfast with Santa and a cookie walk on Dec. 13.
The event, featuring a meal with Santa, live bell concert and boxes of cookies for sale, will be 8 to 11 a.m.
Breakfast prices are $5 for adults; $3 for kids; and $15 per family. Boxes of cookies are $8 each.
Proceeds go to local families in need.
The church will offer its annual free Christmas meal to the community on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
Meal delivery will be noon to 2 p.m.; carry-out will be available between 2 and 4 p.m. Diners can eat at the church between 5 and 6:30 p.m.
