INDIANAPOLIS
John “Jack” Schimpf, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014.
He was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Philadelphia, to the late Franklin Charles and Malvania Elizabeth (Zweig) Schimpf.
Survivors include his wife, Madeline Taylor Schimpf; a son, Franklin C. Schimpf; a daughter, Jacqueline (Terry) Kriner; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one niece; and three nephews.
He was employed 41 years by Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis.
